I don’t know what I was expecting but was much different than other books that touched on The HUMMIT part of Intel gathering. The details of the training and actual interrogations was very insightful. I am a trained tactical Intel guy who got the short course (TIOC) to work in Intel at BN & BDE level so this was a great help in seeing what I had missed out on.Product details

Interview with a Terrorist eBook James Rosone Miranda Watson Reviews
As a retired military guy it brought tears to my eyes at times. I'll never forget being called a "baby killer" when I came back in 1970 after two years. It never ceases to amaze me how the pc lawyers and politicians who are too good to ever put a uniform on can send us in to do their dirty work and then call us criminals for doing our duty. Within the sometimes suicidal rules they concoct.
God bless you and all like you.

Step into the mind of an intelligence collector as he takes you into a world we only speculate on. Sit next to the most infamous terrorist and see what it felt like to be inside the mind of the person interviewing them. This book revolves around Mr. James Rosone, his experience as a United States Interrogator, his trials, and his internal struggles with the job as he clashes with the reapers of the desert. In his personal account and honest retelling of the events that unfolded during the troubling period of the War on Terror--he takes you not just to the beginning but to the end where every soldier faces his or her own inner demons.
The story opened my eyes to things I was unaware of, and It taught me a good deal about the difficulty and frustrations every soldier goes through and what it means to be in that dimly lit room next to a possible murderer trying to gather information. Every second matters when countless lives are at stake. Many of us don't understand what these men and women go through on the daily basis, and we understand less as to what happens in those interrogation rooms where an entire war could be won or lost on. We are constantly influenced by media, and assume that things occur the way it does in movies, but this story sheds light on that false assumption. The threat they face, not just from outside, but from within is a weight that can break the weak-hearted. Any wrong move can jeopardize your entire life or that of others, and Mr. Rosone brings that to awareness.
I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to understand what it means to be an interrogator, soldier, or anyone in the justice department. The choices you make, every outcome, all of it can move the world in some way. This book is a powerful account of a man that desired to be a hero, and his journey.
Many military folk should consider reading.
Great read giving the back story of how military interrogators were trained and worked in the war on terror. Eye opening and gives credit where it is due, to American vets who work in incredible conditions. This is a story that needs to be shared.
Excellent book.... this book was very well written and personal... It gave an first hand insight into what the intelligence community does to keep us safe...
Very interesting book. I had no idea how interrogation work before reading it.
I dont usually write reviews but I had to write one for this book, absolutely awesome book!! I was engrossed in every page ,what he would of heard would stagger us civilians , if we only knew what these people go though for us to go about our normal day to day living, would be beyond believe
James Rosone captures the personal accounts of his service as a United States interrogator during a difficult time in our nation's history. A must read if you truly want to cut through media hype and get a true picture of how our country treats those who are captured during times of war. Learn why waterboarding is NOT the most viable way for our country to get strategic and valuable information on the front lines. This book gives the reader a much different perspective of terrorism and the intricacies of world politics and interrelationships. Thank you, James Rosone, for your service and Miranda Watson, for standing by your man and for speaking out for the families of our servicemen and women who deal with the unthinkable in their careers.
